WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
(Event Format)
TCG & OCG – one combined paper tournament
Even though the TCG and OCG are normally separate formats, the Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship for paper play is a combined tournament. Players from both regions compete in the same event format.
Because of this, the paper World Champion counts as the champion for both the TCG and OCG.
